Virginia Resource-Use Education Council
Virginia Resource-Use Education Council (VRUEC), is a consortium partners, including state and federal natural resource and education agencies, that support environmental literacy across the commonwealth of Virginia. VRUEC's mission is to facilitate opportunities for collaboration between formal and nonformal educators in order to support environmental literacy instruction.
VRUEC has sponsored courses in conservation and natural resources for hundreds of educators since 1952. Today, VRUEC continues to embrace new ideas and projects to support their vision of a Commonwealth of environmentally literate citizens with the intention of making informed decisions concerning the environment.
Learn more about how VRUEC is making that happen through our recently updated 2021 Strategic Plan.
